Speed Networking: Practicing introducing yourself
July 21, 2020
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Please register here. Registration required. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
The single most important thing you can do for your career is increase your network. How do you meet people and how do you tell them what they need to hear so you can meet with them, find new contacts and move your career forward?
Learn how to present yourself in a few sentences (an elevator pitch) to engage your listeners. Coaches Win Sheffield and Ruth Robbins will guide you in getting comfortable with making the answer to the question ‘Tell me about yourself’ a strength instead of something to be resisted. You will then have the opportunity to practice with others speed networking style and possibly make some good networking contacts as well. Participants will be working live one-on-one with others and so, should be prepared to share their video.
The first 20 minutes of the session will be a workshop on introductions (‘pitches’). Please join us as a participant or as a fly on the wall.
